The “project” I am currently developing is the creation of a discovery of Self® Dialogue Center curriculum which will be replicatable and can be easily assimilated into schools and school libraries. It will incorporate a 36 week program of discussions and projects consisting of carefully selected books, movies and songs encouraging guided discussions with children. Through these “artistic” tools and carefully crafted Discussion and Experiential Project Guides, teachers, parents, case workers, etc. can not only improve literacy but also facilitate dialogues designed to create joyful experiences for children to help them learn to identify and express their thoughts and feelings, and importantly, to be heard and valued. The most valued outcomes being a consciousness of their beliefs, identification of their feelings, an ability to communicate both, and the awareness of how those beliefs influence their choices.
